Ping An Life Introduces Domestic Travel Emergency Medical Insurance

Ping An Life has jointly launched an emergency medical and accidental insurance scheme with Europ Assistance International for travelers within China. Policyholders can enjoy timely and professional medical services and emergency support round the clock.

The customer-oriented emergency medical and accidental insurance scheme carries many benefits, including but not limited to the following:

· Arranging for medical consultations;

· Emergency transfer between hospitals;

· Compassionate visits for parents while their children receive medical care;

· Children escort arrangements;

· Repatriation;

· Hospital referrals;

· Legal assistance;

· Deposit guarantee for hospital admission

The domestic travel emergency medical insurance scheme is characterized by three distinguished features including:

1) Policyholders do not need to pay for their medical expenses. Ping An Life, unlike most insurers, guarantees its policyholders up to RMB 400,000 worth of medical protection. Expenses incurred during the assistance will be borne directly by the Company.

2) Besides providing emergency services as a result of accidents, this scheme will also insure against unexpected acute illnesses, marking Ping An Life the first in the Chinese insurance market to have launched such an insurance scheme.

3) Policyholders are not limited to the number of accidents within their insured period, with a total insured amount set at RMB 400,000.
