Ping An Praised for its Blood Donation Drive and Other Activities

Ping An Insurance Group was recently recognized for its active involvement in nationwide blood donation by the Red Cross Society of China.
Speaking at the ceremony attended by representatives from the Ministry of Health, the Red Cross Society of China, People’s Liberation Army’s Health Department, Ping An Insurance Group’s Deputy General Manager, Mr. Sun Jianyi, upon accepting the accolade, said: “The spirit of the Red Cross Society is running in parallel with Ping An’s in that the Group’s corporate philosophy advocates caring for its clients, employees, shareholders as well as the society.”

In March 2004, Ping An began to insure those who donated hemopoietic stem cells (HSC) against accidents as well as critical illnesses, with insurance amount totaling over RMB 100 million. During this year’s “Blood Donation Month”, Ping An, through its 200,000-strong staff, helped educate people all over the country on the importance of hemopoietic stem cells (HSC).
